Little Schmidt Productions is a creative studio working across film, television, and digital storytelling. We develop audience-focused concepts, campaigns, and narrative experiences designed to connect strong ideas with culture, craft, and commercial impact.

Our franchise management work supports the long-term development, positioning, and stewardship of story worlds, brands, audience relationships, and commercial opportunities across multiple platforms. We value strategic thinking, strong organisation, and a collaborative approach to building properties with clarity and consistency.

Our internship programme offers practical exposure to a professional studio environment where emerging talent can contribute to active franchise and brand workflows while gaining hands-on experience in research, coordination, presentation support, and cross-functional planning.

Summary

We are looking for a Franchise Management Intern to support brand research, franchise planning, internal coordination, and development support across active properties. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, commercial awareness, and a genuine interest in how stories, audiences, and brands are managed over time across entertainment platforms.

This internship provides exposure to the strategic side of franchise development, including research, brand positioning, audience understanding, and project coordination. The successful candidate will support working materials, references, internal updates, and planning needs while gaining practical insight into how franchises are developed, organised, and sustained within a studio environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of strategy decks, reference documents, planning materials, and internal summaries.
  • Help track franchise initiatives, timelines, project updates, and related working materials across departments.
  • Contribute to audience, consumer, and market research relevant to brand and franchise growth opportunities.
  • Support coordination of internal reference files, presentation assets, notes, and cross-functional materials.
  • Help organise information related to brand development, content alignment, and long-term property planning.
  • Attend team meetings and help capture notes, actions, and follow-up points related to active projects.
  • Assist with maintaining clear and accurate documentation across franchise-related workflows.
  • Support the team in gathering examples of partnerships, activations, campaigns, and franchise expansion models.
  • Provide general support to the franchise management team during active planning and development cycles.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in entertainment, storytelling, brand strategy, audience engagement, and franchise development.
  • Strong organisational ability and attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working with research, presentations, notes, and internal coordination materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Commercial curiosity and awareness of how intellectual property can evolve across content and audience touchpoints.
  • Strong analytical thinking and ability to organise information clearly and accurately.
  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
  • Professional approach to communication, follow-through, and task management.
  • Interest in how brands and narrative properties are managed over time within the entertainment industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous academic, internship, or project experience related to brand strategy, entertainment business, marketing, or media research.
  • Strong awareness of major entertainment franchises, audience communities, and brand extension models.
  • Familiarity with presentation tools, planning documents, and collaborative workflow platforms.
  • Interest in long-term property development, franchise strategy, and audience lifecycle thinking.
