Little Schmidt Productions is a creative studio working across film, television, and digital storytelling. We develop audience-focused concepts, campaigns, and narrative experiences designed to connect strong ideas with culture, craft, and commercial impact.

Our physical production team supports the planning and execution of projects from pre-production through shoot readiness and on-the-ground coordination. We value organisation, preparation, problem-solving, and strong collaboration across production, creative, operations, and partner teams.

Our internship programme offers practical exposure to a professional studio environment where emerging talent can contribute to active production workflows while gaining hands-on experience in scheduling support, documentation, logistics coordination, and physical production planning.

Summary

We are looking for a Physical Production Intern to support planning materials, production coordination, research, and internal organisation across active studio projects. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in how projects move from development into practical production execution.

This internship provides exposure to the operational side of production, including scheduling support, documentation, logistics tracking, and communication across teams. The successful candidate will help maintain organised working materials and gain practical insight into how productions are prepared and managed within a studio environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with organising production documents, schedules, contact lists, notes, and planning materials.
  • Support the preparation of internal production updates, coordination documents, and reference materials.
  • Help track deadlines, production milestones, logistics details, and follow-up items across active projects.
  • Assist with maintaining organised folders, working files, and project documentation across production workflows.
  • Support research related to locations, vendors, production resources, and operational planning needs.
  • Attend production meetings and help capture notes, actions, and next steps.
  • Contribute to internal coordination across teams by helping organise information clearly and accurately.
  • Assist with preparing presentation materials, tracking sheets, and scheduling references where required.
  • Help maintain visibility on project status, documentation updates, and evolving production requirements.
  • Provide general support to the physical production team during active project cycles.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in film, television, production operations, and project execution.
  • Excellent organisational skills and close attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working with schedules, documents, notes, spreadsheets, and internal coordination materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, follow-through, and professional communication.
  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively within a studio team.
  • Interest in the logistical and operational side of physical production.
  • Ability to stay organised while supporting evolving priorities and production needs.
  • Familiarity with production workflows, scheduling tools, or coordination practices is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous academic, internship, or project experience related to production, operations, media, or event coordination.
  • Strong interest in how productions are planned, organised, and executed from a logistical perspective.
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, scheduling tools, and structured working documents.
  • Awareness of production terminology, call sheets, scheduling, or planning workflows is advantageous.
