Little Schmidt Productions is a creative studio working across film, television, and digital storytelling. We develop audience-focused concepts, campaigns, and narrative experiences designed to connect strong ideas with culture, craft, and commercial impact.

Our post production workflows support the refinement, organisation, and delivery of content across editorial, finishing, sound, review, and asset management stages. We value precision, collaboration, technical awareness, and strong communication across fast-moving creative and production environments.

Our internship programme offers practical exposure to a professional studio environment where emerging talent can contribute to active post production workflows while gaining hands-on experience in edit support, project coordination, asset organisation, and internal delivery preparation.

Summary

We are looking for a Post Production Intern to support editorial workflows, project organisation, file management, delivery preparation, and day-to-day coordination across active post production needs. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in how content is shaped and finished after production.

This internship provides exposure to the post production process across creative review, editorial support, technical coordination, and asset tracking. The successful candidate will help maintain organised materials, support communication across workflows, and gain practical insight into how projects move from raw assets to polished deliverables within a studio setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with organising edit materials, project files, exports, links, and working assets across active post production workflows.
  • Support the maintenance of organised folder structures, naming conventions, and version tracking across projects.
  • Help coordinate review links, notes, approvals, and follow-up actions related to editorial and finishing stages.
  • Assist with preparing internal reference materials, edit notes, review summaries, and delivery-related documents.
  • Support communication across editorial, production, and creative teams to help keep projects moving smoothly.
  • Help track deadlines, post production milestones, and asset readiness across multiple assignments.
  • Assist with gathering and organising media, graphics, subtitles, audio files, and supporting project materials.
  • Attend team meetings and help capture notes, action points, and workflow updates.
  • Support quality control checks on files, links, exports, and delivery materials where appropriate.
  • Provide general day-to-day support to the post production team during active project cycles.

Requirements

  • Strong interest in post production, editing, media workflows, and creative finishing processes.
  • Excellent organisational skills and close attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort working with files, links, notes, technical details, and project coordination materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in how projects progress from production through editorial and final delivery.
  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Professional approach to communication, follow-through, and workflow discipline.
  • Basic familiarity with post production terminology, edit workflows, or delivery processes is a plus.
  • Experience with editing, media, or creative tools is advantageous but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous academic, internship, or personal project experience related to post production, editing, media, or content workflows.
  • Basic familiarity with software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid, Frame.io, or similar tools.
  • Understanding of file formats, review processes, delivery assets, or editorial versioning is helpful.
  • Interest in editing, finishing, and the technical side of content delivery within a studio environment.
