Summary
We are looking for a Social Video Intern to support the development of short-form content, social-first storytelling, video references, and platform-aware creative ideas. This role is ideal for someone with a strong interest in entertainment, digital media, editing culture, and audience behaviour across social platforms.
This internship provides exposure to the creation of social content across digital channels, with opportunities to support concept research, edit references, asset organisation, and presentation preparation. The successful candidate will gain practical insight into how social video ideas are developed, refined, and prepared for production and publishing.
Responsibilities
- Assist with research into social video trends, audience behaviours, cultural moments, and platform-native content formats.
- Support the gathering of creative references, edit inspiration, motion examples, and visual benchmarks.
- Help prepare moodboards, content decks, concept notes, and internal presentation materials.
- Organise assets, project files, working links, and reference folders for social content development.
- Assist with content planning across short-form platforms and support internal coordination on active projects.
- Contribute ideas for social-first storytelling, audience engagement, and video concepts aligned with campaign objectives.
- Attend team meetings and help capture notes, actions, and follow-up points related to content development.
- Support the review of social clips, edits, and rough concepts from a creative and audience perspective.
- Help maintain clear and organised working documents for creative development and publishing support.
- Provide general day-to-day support to the social video team across live creative priorities.
Requirements
- Strong interest in social media, entertainment, storytelling, and digital culture.
- Awareness of platform-specific content styles across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and related channels.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working with references, presentations, links, creative notes, and collaborative workflows.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
- Interest in short-form video, edit pacing, visual hooks, and audience engagement patterns.
- Confidence working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Professional attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with editing, social publishing, or creative tools is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous academic, internship, or personal project experience related to video, media, communications, or social content.
- Basic familiarity with editing or motion tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, or similar platforms.
- Strong awareness of internet culture, social content trends, and audience engagement patterns.
- Ability to identify compelling visual references and translate them into organised working materials.
